Many children in rural China struggle to remain in school long enough to complete the nine years of education provided free of charge by the Chinese government. Children whose parents are rural farmers must often board at their school because it is so far from their home. These students must provide their own food as well as the supplies and clothing that all school children require, which are not furnished by the Chinese government. But when your family’s income is between $200 and $400 a year, there is often no money for these expenses. Many Chinese children want an education more than anything else because they recognize that only with an education will they be able to rise above the poverty in which they are growing up. You can help a student stay in school for only $17 per month. Please contact Nina Ottinger at 615 620 4348 or ninaottinger@comcast.net if you would be interested in helping a Chinese child remain in school. You and your sponsored child will both be blessed beyond measure. |
