Our Beginning and How we

The story of Founding Families Charitable Foundation began with the adoption and addition to our own family of Sarah Helena. As we establish this new branch of our family, all of our children, including Sarah Helena, can now look back on our personal history to a Revolutionary War veteran, born in America of German immigrants who themselves established a “founding family” in East Tennessee, USA. Our children can travel back to East Tennessee and worship in two churches that were built by their founding family. Traveling on roads their ancestors traveled since the late 1700’s, our children can talk to relatives who helped establish democratic principles, spiritual morality, and strong positive character traits that have helped shape their American way of life and the American ideals we all cherish! For our family and others participating in international adoptions, FFCF presents a new opportunity to embrace and share the values of God and Country, and love and service to our fellow man.
By now we hope you understand how we got our name, Founding Family Charitable Foundation. We honor the men who signed the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America. We believe it to be fitting to refer to all the families of America as “founding families” regardless of where their parents were born or what year their ancestors immigrated to the United States.
